Todos os anos, durante o Festival Internacional de Cinema de Cannes, a European Film Promotion realiza o evento "Producers on the Move", no qual produtores representantes dos países membros participam em workshops, e encontros com outros produtores e co-produtores, tendo a oportunidade de apresentar os seus projectos e procurar possíveis parceiros.
No âmbito da presença portuguesa em 2006 e da representação institucional do ICA na EFP – European Film Promotion, Alexandre Valente participará nas actividades agendadas por esta organização como Producer on the Move.

Which directors would you like to work with?
I would love to continue working with Manoel de Oliveira, as I admire him and there is a friendship (...) and with all those who believe in their projects and defend them right to the end. (...)
What do you expect from your participation in the "Producers on the Move" initiative?
First of all I have to thank ICAM for this nomination. Once I am in Cannes, I would like to meet other dynamic "utopian" producers, able to create synergies, challenges and co-produced with Utopia Filmes.
